Thank you for re-electing me for a second term on City Council

I’m honored to be re-elected to City Council for District 2. When I was first elected, I won by 40 votes in a 4-way race, and now voters have resoundingly entrusted me with a second term, with a much larger margin as the numbers continue rolling in.

District 2 residents made it clear during this election they want a City Council that is deeply committed to finding solutions to some of our biggest challenges, including tackling the housing crisis in our city.

Notably, this was the final municipal election in Fort Collins before rank choice voting; a positive change that I’m excited about for our city. And I'm eager to work on more forward-looking policies, including Vision Zero for safer roads, and protecting our natural beauty.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me and supported my campaign. And I hear those of you who are concerned about how we navigate tough decisions for our city. I’m eager to hear ideas from everyone – homeowners, students, renters – to help our city be responsive to needs in our community.

I’m grateful for your trust in me to continue advancing my vision for a city that works for everyone and plan for the future of Fort Collins, thoughtfully and inclusively.

With immense gratitude,

Julie Pignataro
